A sampling of the salmon trolling flies I have created is in the picture above. In order from top to bottom, these three are called: Money Talks, Blue Sky and Green Hornet. I expect each of these flies, and quite honestly, all of the flies I have created to be very productive catching salmon, steelhead and lake trout across the Great Lakes region. All of these flies are hand tied and cultivated from my over 40 years experience catching fish in Lake Ontario. While these are prototypes, I expect to have flies for sale on the website (www.dirtyoraadventures.net) sometime during the winter of 2019-2020. By that time I will have had time to test the prototypes extensively in Lake Ontario catching King Salmon and have worked out any bugs or quality control concerns that I may have missed during my initial run.
I expect to have 50 varieties available for order later this year, and would be willing got do small custom job requests for those interested. All flies will be available with or without hook rigs, my plan is to include double tournament hook rigs where requested. My next project is to create a line of meat rigs for Great Lakes fishing which will include 3 teaser rigs of various colors as well as bait heads where requested. I have just begun creating prototype meat rigs and expect to have some completed and tested in the next week to ten days. Stay tuned for pictures and success stories!
